Devon is just swimming with great pools, water parks and lidos – some open just for the summer; others available all year round.

We all know that splashing around in a swimming pool is a great way to get fit, cool off and have fun.

Luckily, whether you’re a super-focused lane swimmer or a shallow-end paddler, there’s a Devon swimming pool to suit your style.

There are snazzy waterparks with flumes and wave machines; sea-fed natural pools enjoyed since Victorian times; and free lidos galore for when the sun comes out.

Make sure you check swimming pool timetables before leaving and be aware that most outdoor pools are shut during inclement weather.

So if you’re stuck for ideas and want a cheap and fun day out, here’s our expert guide to the best swimming pools, water parks and lidos in Devon. They’re simply to dive for.
