A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing near Dawlish seafront today.

Police say the incident happened in the vicinity of the Teignmouth Inn pub, Teignmouth Hill, just after midnight (Saturday September 28).

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: “We had reports just after midnight that a 24-year-old male had been stabbed at or in the vicinity of The Teignmouth Inn.

“Police units attended alongside ambulance crews.

“We have two adult males in the Torquay custody unit in connection with the stabbing.

“The man’s injuries are serious, but they do not appear to be life threatening.”
